Drs. Erin Miller and Lauren Stayer founded Pawtown Veterinary Care because we believe in providing the Central Oregon community with a place that feels comfortable and inviting while providing high quality comprehensive veterinary care.

Why do we call ourselves Pawtown? Because we live in a place where our pets are a central part of everyday life. We want to keep your dogs and cats healthy throughout the years so they can continue to be an active part of your life.

We also believe in a veterinary clinic culture that feels like a family, where all employees are an important part of the team and are excited to come to work every day. This atmosphere helps us provide you and your pet with a comforting experience, even during stressful times.

If you would like to be a client at Pawtown Veterinary Care or receive updates about our clinic, please send us an email or fill out our New Client Form. You can also make an appointment by visiting our Request an Appointment page or calling us at 541-777-6310.

What's happening at Pawtown in March?

There are signs of Spring here in Central Oregon! It is the time of year to start preparing for Summer adventures to come!

    • Internal Parasite Prevention: Now is the time to start giving your dog(s) their monthly heartworm/intestinal parasite prevention medication. Our personal favorite is Interceptor Plus and we have all sizes available for purchase at Pawtown Vet. **Gold star for you if you give your dog(s) a preventative year round! ** For cats that go outdoors and especially those that hunt, monthly parasite prevention should be a part of your plan too. We like Profender (sold here) which is a topical medication that is easy to apply.
    • External Parasite Prevention: Lice are already around, ticks are expected to start showing up any day now and fleas will become more prevalent as we head into summer. We recommend the use of preventatives in dogs and cats that go outdoors either March – November (or in some cases, all year round). There are both topical and oral options for flea/tick prevention. We have Credelio in the office for both dogs and cats.
    • There is a NEW combo preventative for Dogs called Credelio Quattro. It covers both internal and external parasite prevention in ONE monthly dose. It is available for purchase through our online pharmacy.
    • Vaccination: As the weather warms up and our pets spend more times outdoors, we need to make sure their vaccinations are all up to date! Most indoor/outdoor cats in Central Oregon should be up to date on vaccinations for FVRCP, Leukemia and Rabies. Most dogs should be up to date on vaccinations for Rabies, DAP, Lepto and Bordetella.
