Welcome to Pawtown Veterinary Care!
Drs. Erin Miller and Lauren Stayer founded Pawtown Veterinary Care because we believe in providing the Central Oregon community with a place that feels comfortable and inviting while providing high quality comprehensive veterinary care.
Why do we call ourselves Pawtown? Because we live in a place where our pets are a central part of everyday life. We want to keep your dogs and cats healthy throughout the years so they can continue to be an active part of your life.
We also believe in a veterinary clinic culture that feels like a family, where all employees are an important part of the team and are excited to come to work every day. This atmosphere helps us provide you and your pet with a comforting experience, even during stressful times.

What's happening at Pawtown in May?
Spring has sprung! The sunshine and nice weather has us all getting outdoors with our families and our pets. Here are a few things to keep in mind to make your outdoor experience even better!
* Ticks are on the prowl in Central Oregon and we are getting reports of pets picking up these pesky parasites. It seems like it may be a banner year for ticks this year! Remember to protect your pets with flea/tick prevention. And check them (and yourselves) for ticks especially if you have been out in tall grass.
* Temperatures are steadily warming, but it can still suddenly become cold or very hot. Make sure you have plenty of fresh water on adventures and provide your pets a space that is dry and has options to get cool or warm when they are outside.
* Plan a slow return to full activity as your pet may not be used to long walks, runs or hikes.
* Use caution with pets in cars. This time of year is especially tricky because it may feel cool outside (especially with a nice breeze) but the sun heats up the inside of a car exceptionally fast.
